Case Bindings:

Book cloth was developed in the 1820s as a new covering material to decrease the cost of production. Rather than using leather as a covering material and attaching boards by the use of cords, the development of case binding allowed for faster production by preparing the covers of the book separately from the textblock. There are many case binding styles and structures, which make unique and elegant books.

Case bindings range in price from $35.00 to 90.00 depending upon size and materials. Text blocks consist of 160 to 224 pages bound using Cranes Crest soft white paper or Rives lightweight paper.
